The Deeside Orchestra started life in 1984. It is now a group of about forty enthusiastic amateur musicians who play two concerts each year, the Viennese Evenings, and a Summer Concert. This year we have added an Autumn concert to our performing schedule, we are hoping that this will become a regular thing.

Viennese Evenings

These were initially one night, but are now on two nights due to their popularity. They have become a well loved way to beat the post Christmas blues in Aboyne. With Viennese music, dancing, singing, and fine food.

Summer Concert

This is usually a varied selection of music performed by the orchestra in the theatre at Aboyne Academy.

Rehearsals

The orchestra meets in the Victory Hall in Aboyne on Tuesday nights from 7:30pm. New players are always welcome, so if you would like to join us, please come along.
