The Deeside Orchestra started life in 1984. It is now a group of about forty enthusiastic amateur musicians who play two concerts each year, the Viennese Evenings, and a Summer Concert. Last year we have added an Autumn concert to our performing schedule, we are hoping that this will become a regular thing.

Viennese Evenings

These were initially one night, but are now on two nights due to their popularity. They have become a well loved way to beat the post Christmas blues in Aboyne. With Viennese music, dancing, singing, and fine food.

Summer Concert

This is usually a varied selection of music performed by the orchestra in the theatre at Aboyne Academy, though this year we will be performing at the Birse and Feughside Church in Finzean.

Rehearsals

The orchestra meets in the Victory Hall in Aboyne on Tuesday nights from 7:30pm. New players are always welcome, so if you would like to join us, please come along.
