OUR NEXT CONCERT:
14TH JUNE 2025 7:30PM
THE BARN, BURN O’BENNIE, BANCHORY
RHAPSODY IN BLUE

The concert centrepiece is Gershwin’s timeless Rhapsody in Blue, which is teamed with William Grant Still’s tuneful Afro-American Symphony from 1930. A fusion of blues, spirituals and classical orchestral writing, this was the first symphony by a Black composer to earn a place in the repertoire. Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Copland’s Hoe-Down from the ballet Rodeo complete the programme.
Tickets £10 for adults, (children under 16 free), are available
